The maker of colorful quality cookware marked the third expansion in the history of its Early Branch facility with a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday morning at the Lowcountry Regional Industrial Park.
In front of a crowd of dignitaries, local officials, and employees, Le Creuset of North America CEO Faye Gooding thanked the economic development community for its support of their growth plans.

Elliott Sawmilling announces expansion |

Department of Commerce, Hampton County and the SouthernCarolina Regional Development Alliance today announced that Elliott Sawmilling Company Inc. will expand its current facility in Hampton County. The $800,000 investment is expected to generate 15 new jobs.

$9 mil grant will widen highway |
| 5/9/2011 - Hampton County's economic development prospects - and its highways - just got a little brighter and a little wider.
The Lowcountry Council of Governments announced last Thursday that it would be awarding $9 million to widen a 2.5 mile portion of Highway 68 in Hampton County.
The project would pick up where the current four-lane highway ends about 2 miles outside of Yemassee and provide four lane transportation right up to the driveways of the county's two industrial parks.
