In preparation for the fall semester, the Global Business Resource Center in the College of Charleston School of Business is asking businesses to submit global market and trade-related research projects and questions.
Over the course of the four-month semester, each of the two or three student interns will
perform secondary market research for client companies using Web-based data sources, said Kathryn Banks, associate director of the Global Business Resource Center.
Businesses will receive a management-level report answering a single question or offering a full analysis of the export potential of a new foreign market, Banks said.
“All research is performed at no charge to the client company; each intern earns three hours of academic credit and obtains a valuable opportunity to learn through experience,” Banks said.
Businesses interested in submitting projects and questions for consideration should send email no later than Aug. 15.
Client companies do not have to be located in Charleston, Banks said, but local companies are encouraged to participate.
